Nationals 2009
It's
over. And we owe so many thanks to so many people for such a lot of
work it's actually difficult to know where to start. Firstly the young
volunteers of Longrige who worked tirelessly all weekend and are still
working to clear up the site and clean the toilets – a team of 15
people who have no association with the club in any way. Huge thanks to
them.
Secondly to Diane Bates who gave up watching her Elmbridge
paddlers nearly clinch victory from Wey. Diane gave up three days to
work with us organising the entries and results. Thank you very much.
The Marathon committee who's experience helped behind the scenes making
sure that we didn't put a foot wrong.
To our recent members who
I am sure didn't have a clue when they said yes we'll help exactly what
they where letting themselves in for. To the Marshalls who worked hard
to ensure fair play and safety on the day.
To our sponsors who provided so much. We have to thank Mars, For goodnessshakes, CRAFT, Reading canoe club, Marsports, Katacanoe, Prism-av and Lucozade.
To the Exhibitors who we hope had a profitable experience
